Microbiology characterization of Melipona becheii´s honey from Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
The total values of the microorganims in the honey of melipona were more than the reported values from bibliography of the meliferous honey. The values were till 25000cfu/g; but all the cases were inside of the admissible values for the Cuban Reglament. The total fungus values were till 200cfu/g, it were more than the reported values of the meliferous honey from literature and finally the total values of the yeast were superior too, it were among 10cfu/g and 10000cfu, due to some of the obtained values of yeast were out side of the admissible values of the Sanitary Cuban Reglament. The statistic procedure resulted on two groups, there is a statistically significant difference between the mean Total Count of microorganims at the 95.0% confidence level. Although respect to the Total Count of Yeast the statistic procedure showed significant difference too but at the 99.0% confidence level. For that reason we can say that the environmet conditions can cause the increment of presence of microorganims in the honey, however of the chemical and other characterirtics like physicians.
