Importancia del desarrollo de la genética y la crianza de reinas en la apicultura

Abstract
El Comité Editorial de la Revista Apiciencia les recomienda en este número los artículos relativos al tema de la Genética Apícola, ya que esta es la base del desarrollo de la apicultura, por la importancia que revisten la Crianza de Reinas y el reemplazo de las reinas en el momento adecuado, con la calidad genética requerida como factor indispensable para lograr la resistencia genética a las enfermedades y elevar los rendimientos de la producción de miel por colmenas. Esta es la única forma de contar con reinas de calidad para la creación de nuevas colmenas y garantizar una colmena fuerte y productiva. En Cuba existe un programa de mejoramiento genético al que se le otorga gran importancia. Esperamos sus sugerencias y opiniones con el fin de elevar la calidad de nuestra publicación.
